The President and Founder of Nke Nke Enyi izuogu foundation for the Needy and the Aged High Chief Dr Sir Ikenna Chiedozie Aniche has officially announced final burial programme for his late beautiful mother Dame Ezinne Nneoma Catherine Chinyere Aniche who passed on recently and will be interred on Friday the 29th of December 2023. The Master's Program Entrepreneurial Cybersecurity teaches advanced techniques and state-of-the-art research in Cybersecurity and enables students to apply and put this knowledge into practice by developing a cybersecurity project, write a proof of concept, and develop a market-ready product.

Thus, it combines our strong research at Saarland Informatics Campus, top-ranked in CHE rankings, especially in the area of Cybersecurity with a market-oriented application. Students will work in close collaboration with Cyberecurity researchers at CISPA − Helmholtz Center for Information Security on campus, who will support and guide students in finding and developing their project ideas.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Students are admitted to the program twice per year. Due to the close supervision by our mentors, especially during the Cybersecurity project, they can only accept 30 students per year. They winter semester starting in October, please apply via the Online Application Portal of Saarland University until July 15. For any summer semester starting in April.

We provide excellent working conditions. You can work in groups in our coworking spaces and meeting rooms. You will present your cybersecurity project in pitches both in front of an internal and, later on, external audience, thus, enabling you to compete for additional external funding for your product. Our IT-Security Incubator offers additional guidance and support during your studies. There is an option to join the incubator program after you finished your studies. Below you will find an overview of the program structure that spans four semesters.

SEMESTER 1

Lectures in Cybersecurity, related areas of Computer Science, optional courses (30 ECTS)

Lecture Series "Perspectives of Cybersecurity" on current research topics

Find your scientific mentor and form small groups of 2-4 students.

SEMESTER 2

Lectures in Cybersecurity, related areas of Computer Science, optional courses (15 ECTS)

Cybersecurity Project: first prototype, internal sales pitch (15 ECTS)

SEMESTER 3

Lectures in Cybersecurity, related areas of Computer Science, optional courses (15 ECTS)

Cybersecurity Project: Refine your prototype, sales pitch in front of an external audience (15 ECTS)

SEMESTER 4

Master's Thesis: based on your project, typically, a description of your contribution to the proof of concept. (15 ECTS)

Cybersecurity Project: Proof of Concept, Business plan, Sales pitch in front of investors and supporters. (15 ECTS)

REQUIREMENTS

The Master's Program is aimed at students with a Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related area. Since our program is held in English, proficient knowledge of English is required (level C1). Students have to file an application dossier via the Online Application Service at Saarland University that also includes two assessment letters on the applicant. Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related subject
Proficiency in English (level C1) since the program is held in English
Interest in applying Cybersecurity research and developing your own ideas to found a company.

ALAS, I MISSED MY CLASS! (1)

The cause of had I known is a result of a missed class! The tears of so many mistakes resulted from a missed class! I could remember those days in school when some Slay Queens would be busy slaying on parties and weekend trips to God knows where. you don't see them in classes except during exams. And in examination hall you see their scripts empty while they are busy looking side by side and stretching their necks like Giraffe trying to peep from their neighbours. What I ask myself those days is, do they even understand what they are copying? fine. Say they understand.  How sure are they that what they are copying is the correct answer to the particular questions asked? Seriously the thing baffles me. There is this particular girl I couldn't but take notice of. I had to call one of my class mates aside to ask her if the girl in question is our departmental girl not to talk of our level mate. This particular girl, you will never see her in class until the day of examination.

Three or more eggs a week increase heart disease and early death - study

People who eat an added three or four eggs a week or 300 milligrams of dietary cholesterol per day, have a higher risk of both heart disease and early death compared with those who eat fewer eggs, new research finds. “Eggs, specially the yolk, are a major source of dietary cholesterol,” wrote Victor Zhong, lead study author and a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. In a study published Friday in the medical journal JAMA, he and his colleagues noted that a single large egg contains about 186 milligrams of cholesterol. The researchers examined data from six US study groups including more than 29,000 people followed for 17½ years on average. Over the follow-up period, a total of 5,400 cardiovascular events occurred, including 1,302 fatal and nonfatal strokes, 1,897 incidents of fatal and nonfatal heart failure and 113 other hear
